**hello geek chicks, nerd chicks, uber chick, &women of computing,**

I'm working on starting two podcasts right now(which I''ve went on &on
about before).  I'll be using my USB Headset &GismoProject
<http://GismoProject.com/>(because of skypes Linux related security
issues.  I'm using audacity for recording &editing.  I've been play with
Jashahka but Audacity is much more featured &including command editing
options.  I use those for auto editing pops, clicks, &extra long
pauses.  But any one with audio editing skills: I'd love any advice or
help you can provide. &Of course if someone wants to actually edit &put
together our podcast I'm pen to talking.

Both of my podcasts will be hosted from http://uberChicks.net/ with
audio files being served through archive.org's open audio hosting &fed
through feed burner until my self-built web app system support itunes
rss, right now it only support standard rss 2.0.

I've been looking for, at least, a co-host for both of my podcasts.  My
first podcast is going to focus on each weeks' OSS news &our OSS
creative endeavors &etc.  I'm hoping for a round table style podcast,
with multiple of us girls chatting.  Though the best option I've come up
with is GizmoProjects <http://GizmoProject.com/>'s conference call
option.  Its either that or Ekiga(formally GNOME meeting).  I don't have
&can't afford a mixer.

My 2nd podcast is going to focus on women and our contributions to open
source, which is going to be conversational(i.e. chat) style interviews
with women, of all levels, about what they're doing in open source.  I
was hoping to, at least, interview many of you about your open source
experiences &current project(s).

If any one would be interested in doing more, like being part of the
round table style podcast, I'd love your help.  I'm currently working on
each shows' format, sections, audio transitions, opening, &closing
music.  I'm also looking for several background music tracks.  Finding
several open source music tracks have been my biggest road block.

Mostly there's just Beatnik Turtle(who I still have more than 300+
tracks to fully listen to.  But I do have several of their songs I'm
planning on using.  Though I'd like more variety which has left me
search archive.org's open audio.  Which I'm also searching, among a few
other sites, for transition &etc sound effects.  But finding
quality(e.g. not overly distorted) sound effect wav files is still
taking me time.

So that's where I stand.  That &I'm really hoping to debut sometime
around Jan 1st.  Though its been looking less &less like an absolute
release date &more just a hopeful one.  Again, both of my podcasts will

Bonjour, je me permets de vous interpeler pour vous indiquer une campagne de publicité française pour les nouvelles technologies en Yvelines. Cette campagne de publicité a une connotation très sexiste que vous ne manquerez pas de voir.

"La campagne « I love Techno » valorisera auprès des milieux d'affaire français et britanniques le fait que les Yvelines sont le premier département en termes d'effectifs et de moyens consacrés à la R&D publique et privée."

La campagne est basée sur une affiche avec une jeune femme abordant un débardeur "I love techno" au motif placé sur sa poitrine. Ce n'est sûrement pas l'image attendue pour montrer la valeur accueil et recherche et développement d'un département français.
En France, nous savions déjà que les milieux des nouvelles technologies étaient sexistes, en Angleterre je ne sais pas à quel point ce cliché est lié à la France.

Peut-être saurez-vous mieux que moi qui contacter pour faire part de ce manque de respect de l'image des femmes, en particulier dans les nouvelles technologies.
